Poor Roshi. In two episodes he lost his newly found wealth, and lost his dream of an island with just him and Lunch LOL.

It's kinda funny to me how easily they all let Goku go out on his own. I mean, he's strong and all, but...I don't have a lot of faith in his sense of direction...for all they knew they were never gonna see him again.

At any rate, I know for a fact that this one is filler. I mean, I haven't read this part of the manga, but it has to be. Still, it's more of Namu and Giran, that's hardly a bad thing.

But good LORD what is up with this episode's Japanese audio? There is a horrible fuzzy echo to just about everyone's lines. Is my set's copy bad, is it this bad in everyone's, and is it a FUNi mistake or just the fact that this is really old mono?

And to prove my Bailey fanboyness, I know without switching to the dub that Bailey played her. ;) In a voice very close to her own if I recall, kind-of her Serena in Case Closed voice. I wish she'd used this voice for Ranfan instead...

LOL, poor Namu. He's a strong fighter, but he's not used to fighting pterodactyls. That's Goku's job.

You know, I said the tournament arc was over and placed this one in the Red Ribbon one since that's the Saga it ended up in back when FUNi bothered putting DB into sagas. But so far, there's not a single Red Ribbon reference or character in this. Just based on it's content and characters of focus, I'd place it more in the tournament arc myself, but I guess it does feel more tagged on in that regard.

...Poor Namu once again. After Goku doing a pat-pat test on him, he tells him 'you're the first man to ride kinto'un'. That just reeks of a bad pick-up line. LOL.

Ooh, another insert song already, and in a filler episode? I haven't heard this one before. It's not as thrilling as the last, but it still makes the episode feel a lot cooler. I guess I'm a sucker for insert songs.

Wow, in the sub Giran actually seems like less of a jerk in this episode, he's reformed slightly. In the original he's still a big one, and arrogant to a fault. I'm not sure of which way I prefer it, considering it's not like he's a great guy here, just a little less of one. And I mean all of this in regards to how he initially reacts to Goku, not in how he is by the end of the episode, since in the end for both, he compliments Goku.

I was right, not a bit of this episode dealt with the Red Ribbon. It has no place in the 'Red Ribbon Army Saga'! Silly FUNi.
